About Sir Walter Running

“Bringing the Greater Raleigh running community together through innovation, activation, and inclusivity.”

Sir Walter Running is a Raleigh-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was co-founded by Pat Price, Logan Roberts, and Sandy Roberts. Sandy and Logan Roberts were standout runners at Broughton High in Raleigh. Sandy went on to compete at Georgetown, and then at NC State as a graduate student. He is a Realtor with Lovette Properties in Raleigh. Logan competed collegiately for the Baylor Bears, and is now an assistant coach at Furman University. Pat ran at Providence High in Charlotte and was an invited walk-on at UNC Chapel Hill. He is a Mortgage Banker at Movement Mortgage in Raleigh.

In recent years, the team has expanded with Jeff Caron, Stephen Furst, Melissa Coleman, and James East adding experience across the board to further enhance the mission to where it is now in 2022!

Sir Walter Running hosts the Sir Walter Miler, Raleigh Half MarathonPop Up Miles, Raleigh RunDown Downhill Mile, Pop Up Cross Country at Dix Park, a series of Strava Challenges, and produces the Summer of Miles podcast. Sir Walter Running is an official USATF club (#13-1063).
