Strava Challenge #14 – Dix Sunflower “4k”Strava
So you like Strava Challenges? We have another for you! If you haven’t already, join the Sir Walter Running Strava club! You can even go to SirWalterStrava.com and it will forward you to the right place. New here? Here’s a primer to Sir Walter Running Strava Challenges. And here’s more information on the Tour de Walter.
What is it? A true crit/time trial course that runs through, and on the edges, of Dorothea Dix Park. This 2.55 mile course is rolling, but not as hilly as the last two weeks. If you missed Destination SunFest, this will be a great time to check out the Sunflowers! Take some photos after your run and tag us on Social Media!
Where do I park? You can park by the Soccer Fields in the Sunflower Parking area located around 75 Hunt Dr, Raleigh, NC 27603.
Where do I start? At the Sunflower Parking sign/on the road at the Soccer Field turn in on Hunt Drive.
Where do I turn once I’ve started? Most turns are marked here, but not all. If you need to, print out this first image, or save it to your phone.
Where do I finish? Back where you started!
What do I do after I finish? Check out the sunflowers!
When can I run? Anytime between now and midnight on Sunday, July 21st.
Where will I see the standings? Below, and here (Make sure you filter accordingly). Also, if you haven’t already, visit the Sir Walter Running Strava Club page (make sure and join, so that your marks count).
What do I win? The fastest Male and Female time for Week 3 will recieve a Summer of Miles Tank Top! The runner that does the most loops (in one run) will recieve an entry into the Croc-O-Mile at the 2019 Sir Walter Miler! Everyone that completes all 4 Challenges will recieve a Tour de Walter koozie. Check out the Tour de Walter page for Standings and more information.
